At the park

Not sure why Finn looks so miserable in this pic...he was actually having a really good time! :) such a beautiful day...baseball and swinging at the park, then digging in the garden all afternoon and a little more baseball in the yard. 

Mitch is becoming quite the chatter bug. Favorite lines lately: "Finn do it" (when finn tackles or pushes him in the other room out of my sight and I ask why he's crying), "what in in there?" (What's in there? We don't know why but he always adds the extra "in"), "bonk" or "conk" (any time he falls,  bumps his head, or sees someone else fall or bump their head), filling in all the words of his favorite books (Trains, Ten in the Bed, Puppy Count, Goodnight Moon, Ten Little Ladybugs).  Favorite show lately is Super Why. Begs to watch it all the time!

Finn is super into the guitars and banjo lately. He begged us to get him a "banjo shirt" when we went to the avett brothers show last weekend. They only had a train shirt, which he was happy with thank goodness. He's loving practicing t ball and digging up worms in the garden. He watches "red bull tv" with drew which is all about extreme sports. They watched the end of a parkour competition the other day and then were practicing hilarious parkour moves all over the living room. Yesterday I heard him doing it again on his own and announcing in a commentator's voice "this is his last run! It's Zeno Fashionable!"  Yep. That's his parkour stage name. I truly almost died laughing.

"Fashionable" is one of his favorite new words. When I asked how he learned that word he told me he heard an old man on tv saying it. He loves learning other long words too (exceptional, exactly, etc) but has no idea what they mean so he just works them into everyday conversation whenever possible. These kids are the best entertainment! :)
