Hiking in the Valley

On Saturday, we lucked out with some super warm weather and Finn got to go on his first hike with his mom and dad.  He loves being in his Moby wrap, but it makes him very sleepy...so he slept through the whole thing!  It was such a fun day and very good for Finn's mom and dad to get out of the house!

 

Claire looks pretty sleepy here...could this be because of Finn's late night partying? His favorite time to hang out with me is from 2am until 4am every night. What a blast!

Finn's First Christmas

Finn had a great first Christmas! He got to meet some of his second cousins and great aunts and uncles for the first time.  He must have been very good this year, because he got a whole new wardrobe for Christmas!  Thanks everybody!

Finn's been doing a lot of napping this week. He's such a good baby, he hardly cries at all and loves to push up on his arms to look at our faces when we're holding him.



Sometimes Finn's dad likes to be swaddled too.



Dede the Great came for a visit.

Grandma Heffron has been our savior, bringing us dinners almost every night! Finn loves her so much!


Finn's cousin Jack was so excited to visit. When he saw the baby, he said "Baby Finn! You're finally real!". Adorable.

This visitor was the biggest surprise of all! Finn slept through the whole thing.



Finn does not like bathtime at all. He let his mom know this by pooping on her after she had just gotten him all clean.

Welcome Baby Finn!

We are happy to announce Finn's arrival! After 45 long hours, he finally decided to brave the cold Cleveland day so he could meet us.



We walked around the mall for 3 hours trying to hurry things along. Apparently, Finn was not impressed enough by Sears or JC Penny to speed things up (he didn't come for many more hours). But, we did get to see Big Chuck at his book signing...Drew was thrilled!


Here we are on our way into the hospital at 4:30am on Saturday.


He was born at 7:33 pm on Sunday 12/7/08. He was 7 lbs 12 oz.


These two were just exhausted by the long labor.


Finn's Yaya came to visit him! Thanks to all of our other visitors too!


On Tuesday, we got him all dressed and headed home.

Waiting for the big day

Well, here we are...the room's ready, the house is clean, meals are frozen, our bags are packed for the hospital. All we're missing is a baby! We're getting the feeling that he or she is pretty happy and comfortable in there and might take some time to come and meet us. So, in the mean time we're learning the art of blogging. Here's where you can check for updates on the baby and pictures when he or she does actually decide to join us.
