Giant Finn and Mini Gavin

I took this picture a few weeks ago when we were visiting with Finn's Aunt Megan and his new little cousin, Gavin.  Finn looks huge in this picture, but Gavin's catching up!  I hear he's eating like a champ!!  These two are going to be good buddies!

A Busy Weekend!

Finn had a lot of visitors this weekend! Our good friends Kyle and Bekah came to visit from Chicago with their daughter, Drew. So we had lots of people stopping in all weekend. Finn loved all the attention...it wore him out and he slept great all weekend!

A very sleepy Finn after meeting a lot of new people

                Finn and little Drew

Drew tried his hand at looking after two little ones while Kyle worked and Claire and Bekah went to workout. Finn and little Drew gave him a run for his money!

Our friends, Paul and Stephanie also stopped in for a visit on Sunday and got to see Finn for the first time.

Then, it was time to go to Papa and Yaya's house for dinner and to watch the Oscars.  Drew changed Finn's diaper, but forgot to button the onesie before pulling up his pants.  So this was his solution (buttoning the onesie over the pants, making Finn look like a ballerina).  Don't worry, I fixed it before we went out in public.

Mallie has been Finn's best buddy lately.  She takes such good care of him and always tries to entertain him and make him smile.  What a good cousin!

All About Finn

I've been reading my sister's blog and it has inspired me to write a little bit more about the things that Finn is doing in addition to posting pictures. This way, Drew, Finn, and I can look back and remember all of the cute baby stuff that gets forgotten as time goes by.

Over the last couple of weeks, Finn has started sleeping a lot longer at night (sometimes 7 hours at a time!). I hate to even document this, as I'm sure I'll jinx it and our streak will be ruined. He has a nice little nighttime routine, usually with Drew feeding him and putting him to sleep.

He had his 2 month checkup last week and is already almost 13 pounds! He LOVED the doctor and nurses, until it was shot time. It was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. The poor little guy cried for almost 45 minutes. I think it ruined his whole weekend, he was really cranky for a couple days after.

Finn can't get enough of bathtime. He loves it so much that we've started giving him a bath pretty much every night during his "cranky time". He gets a really serious look on his face and looks like he's hard at work as he splashes around in his little tub.

During the day, he likes to lay on the floor and kick around. He smiles and talks to me and likes it when I sing "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" to him (especially the "eyes and ears and mouth and nose" part - he thinks this is hilarious). He also likes to read books with his dad. We don't go on too many outings yet, mostly just the grocery store/errands with mom and his aunts'/uncles' and grandparents' houses. Finn did go on his first trip to the rainforest with Erin and the kids last week and has gone out to lunch with mom and dad a few times to some of our favorite spots.

We can't believe how lucky we are to have such a good baby. He's so happy and fun to be around!

Breakfast, Bouncing, and Balding: February 2009

Finn's first breakfast at the Lake House.

I was playing "ride the horsey" on grandma's lap and the next thing I knew...

The life of a cowboy can be pretty exhausting.

Finn and his dad looking through a boating catalog.   I wonder where Finn gets that hairline...
