Just checking...
Yesterday when we were at the rec center, Finn noticed that they had started putting up their Christmas trees. One of them had some ornaments on it and, of course, Finn darted over to it to touch each one (if touching means grabbing and trying to knock them off the branches). When I told him to be gentle, he said, "Mom! I'm just checking to see how breakable they are!" Perfect. Gave the ladies behind the front desk a good chuckle :)

Other Pictures
A trip to Rocky River Park to see how it looked after the storm - yikes!
Mitch doing his "homework" - he does this every night now after bath time. The assignment appears to be related to making millions of tiny circles all over the page. Not sure what subject this is. But he is obsessed :)
Halloween
Finn's spooky face paint at the CYC fall fest
He even scared himself!
The trick-or-treaters (Drew wearing Mitch's hat because he wasn't feeling good and refused to wear his costume:)
Finn's mid-trick-or-treat wardrobe change (he "had a new idea" and decided to be a hockey player instead of a robot)
Mitch made it to 3 houses and then ran inside to cuddle on the couch :)

My Daily Dose of Finn
Tonight at bedtime:
Finn (pointing to my chest): "Mom? Are those two babies in your tummy?"
Me: "No. It's not two babies in my tummy."
Finn: "What, did you eat two balls or something?"
A few minutes later he was telling me about his day at school.
Finn: "...and then, Max and I were making bad choices at snack time so we had to be separated. Miss Ellen moved Max all the way to the circle table at the housekeeping center!"
Me: "If you want to be able to sit with your friend, you guys need to get it together and make better choices! This is serious business."
Finn: "No mom. Fire is serious business. Guns are serious business. Eating food that's bad is serious business. Making bad choices at school is not serious."

Funny Things the Boys Said Today
Mitch can't pronounce the letter s on the beginning of words. It's the cutest thing in the world and makes for some pretty funny sayings. Today, as we were driving down Wagar, he commented on the "cary, pooky, keletons" that were still up in people's yards the day after trick-or-treating. :)
This morning, Finn and Mitch were playing "boat" in Mitch's crib. They were pretending there was some sort of emergency and they needed me to tow their boat. I was in the bathroom, and heard Finn yelling, "Mom! Come quick! Help us before we sink right down to Davy Jones' locker!"
Later, we took Mitch to the doctor because we thought he had an ear infection. As the nurse practitioner was checking him out (asking him to stick his tounge out and say "ahhh"), Finn was standing about 2 inches away, watching. Really quietly, he told her that he thought Mitch was sick because of "vacteria that got into his stomach from eating a toy." I thought she was going to die she was laughing so hard. This subbing "v" for "b" is still the funniest thing about how Finn talks - "mom can you 'ruv' my back?" or "No! Not Joann 'favrics' again!" Hilarious.
