Easter 2009

We were lucky enough to have two Easters this year - one with the Ferry family and one with the Heffron family! Lots of egg hunting, brunch making, and candy eating!

Easter wouldn't have been complete without matching cousin outfits and at least one crying baby.

Dede knitted this awesome hat for Finn - his favorite Easter gift!

Finn's First Food!

Finn recently started eating cereal...he's not so sure about the whole thing though:

Getting Ready for Easter

In preparation for the Bunny's visit, we got together and had a little egg decorating party.  Cole was in town, so he and Ian came over for some entertainment!  It was fun to see them!

Even Drew got in on the action...he was very serious about his egg decorating. He went for an elaborate design that required the use of rubber bands. Don't ask...

A Visit to Costa Rica (kind of)

When we got home from OU, the weather was snowy/rainy and freezing. We were all cold and miserable, so Drew decided that we should make a trip to the botanical garden's Costa Rica exhibit. It was nice and toasty inside, and Finn loved looking at all of the plants and butterflies.

Later that week, we went with the Gilbrides and some of my friends from work to the Cleveland Children's Museum. The kids had a blast!

Finn loved watching his cousins play in the grocery store exhibit.

Finn's First Road Trip

Finn took his first road trip down to OU to visit his Uncle Max.  At first, he wasn't so sure about the whole thing:
But as the drive went on, he cheered up a bit:

When we arrived, we had dinner with Uncle Max at our favorite Mexican place. Finn adores his uncle!

We visited the Dairy Barn art museum and found a cute little garden there:

Inside the museum, there was a cool exhibit about puppets from Southeast Asia.  We learned that towns in SE Asia have sets of hundreds of these puppets and put on shows for the community, telling the legends of their gods and ancient nobility. The puppets were as big as Finn!

It was a fun trip even though the weather didn't cooperate. We'll have to go back again soon so we can explore the campus and play outside a little more. Thanks for a fun visit Max!
