Winter Adventures

Here are some pics of our latest winter adventures:

This is a game called "kitty in the basket". It's an oldie but a goodie. Finn came up with it I think before Mitch was even born, but now they play together. One of them (the kitty) goes under the laundry basket and the other pretends to be at the pet store looking at the kitty. When Mitch plays, he pokes his little fingers through the holes and makes "tickle tickle tickle" noises in a high-pitched voice. No idea how that plays into the scenario, but he's entitled to his own creative license I suppose. Anyway, this particular game of "kitty in the basket" has gone awry. As you can see, Finn is trapped in the basket (screaming bloody murder) with Mitch sitting on top of him. Mitch took a moment to smile for a photo op before I remembered that my job was to save Finn and not just snap a picture. There's also a shot of Mitch in this same position, casually sucking his thumb and looking over the side of the basket at his "catch".

Here are the boys doing some bowling on New Year's Eve. Finn had been begging to go for weeks, so Drew and I took the two of them and we had a blast!

The kid is serious about his skiing. If he sees even one flake of snow fall out of the sky, he starts on an obsessive rant about how he needs to get home to get his boots and poles ready for skiing! He wears our adult skis with big socks and the ankles tied SUPER tight. He's really good at it too! He and Drew built a special set of poles for him that he is also obsessed with. :)
